Sensing danger, Rema and Sheebah were forced to get onto stage, but the angry and impatient crowd were still unforgiving. They threw bottles on stage, forcing the singers to take refuge in their cars. The Police were eventually called to intervene in the matter.

Fans accused the singers of performing too few songs.

In a phone interview, Rema's manager Geofrey Kayemba refuted the allegations.

"'We performed like we agreed with the promoter. The chaos at the concert was not caused by any of the artists," he said.

He instead blamed the chaos on rivalry between owners of two neighbouring clubs, one of which hosted the show. He said goons were hired to sabbotage the show.
