Railway Primary School gets desks, solar lamps

Vivo Energy has donated desks and solar lamps to Railway Primary School and also painted a zebra crossing located at the entrance to the school and displayed road safety messages to boost safety of the children.

While handing over the desks, Vivo Energy Uganda's managing director Gilbert Assi said: "We believe every child should have access to quality education and it is our responsibility as adults to see that children are safe on the road while seeking an education".

We identified some of the most needy schools in our community and have continually put aside resources to boost the experience of education in those schools," Assi said.

The event was officiated by the Kampala Capital City Authority executive director, Jennifer Musisi who hailed Vivo Energy Uganda for its continued support in investing and improving educational standards for schools in the city.

The headteacher of Railway Primary School Charles Mukisa thanked Vivo Energy Uganda for its kind gesture and promised to ensure that the desks and solar lamps would be put to good use.
