This year's tourney is scheduled for December 6-16th. The Hippos were invited with Egypt as guest teams.

Apart from Uganda and Egypt, hosts Zambia, Angola, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe are the other countries that will take part in the annual event.

The draws for the group stages are expected to be conducted next week with all the teams placed in three groups of four teams each.
