Tito Okello has said stiff competition at KCCA FC has enabled him to work hard and in turn help him enjoy a rich vein of form.

Okello who came off the bench over the weekend to score a brace as KCCA thrashed Masavu 6-0 in the Uganda Premier League believes the hard work is paying off.

"I surely want to score more goals; I play for a team that creates chances. I just need to put them away and there is competition pushing me to do more if I am to get more playing time," Okello stated.

"I was really happy about my performance and that of the team at large, we showed a lot of zeal and character throughout the game and that's how it should be going forward. It was a performance that gives me a lot of confidence, and I want to build on it moving forward to help the team get back to the top" he added.

The former BUL striker is the league's joint top scorer alongside Bright Stars' Nelson Senkatuka and Police's Hood Kaweesa on four goals.

Okello will be hoping to continue with his exploits when he faces Police in Lugogo next week.
