Oct 31, 2017

Senior Police officers were on Friday charged in the court martial with kidnap and illegal repatriation of Rwandan nationals.

Police has denied that there is a rift with other security organisations, especially the Chiefitancy of Military Intelligence (CMI), following the arrest of some of its senior officers.

Last week, CMI officers arrested officers including Joel Aguma, the Commandant of Police professional Standards Unit; Nixon Agasirwe Katee Faisal and Magada James.
They were charged in court martial on Friday with kidnap and illegal repatriation of Rwandan nationals.

Kasingye said the Police has no problem with CMI because it is executing its mandate and so is the Police.
