Baroza not arrested - Police

Social media was awash with rumours that officers from CIM had arrested liason officer Jonathan Baroza in Algiers and were working to secure an air ticket to fly him back to Uganda.

The Police have refuted claims that the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence has arrested liaison officer, Jonathan Baroza, in Algeria.

Social media was over the weekend awash with rumours that officers from CMI had arrested Baroza in Algiers and were working to secure an air ticket to fly him back to Uganda.

Police spokesperson Asan Kasingye said they are in touch with Baroza in Algeria and he is carrying on with his official duties.

Baroza was deployed as the Police's liaison officer in the country mid last year.
