HIV/AIDS fund to be operationalised

The acting director of Uganda AIDS Commission, Dr Nelson Musoba, is optimistic that the AIDS Trust fund will be operationalised before the end of this year.

Parliament in 2014 passed a law which provided for the fund to generate money locally to finance campaigns to fight HIV/AIDS.

Musoba said the regulations to operationalise the fund have been sent to Parliament for approval.
