A total of 1,977 candidates are set to sit this year’s examinations in the district

Nwoya district inspector of schools, Phoenix Onekalit has asked the district to rehabilitate all bad roads that lead to the various schools within the district as Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) draw closer.

Onekalit said most roads that lead to several schools that he inspected are inaccessible and fears that this might hamper the smooth distribution of the examination papers.

He cited the road from St Peters Bwobomanam Primary School to Kinene Primary School and the road from Ongai Primary School to Alero Primary School as some of those in a poor state in Alero Sub County while in Anaka Sub County, the road from Aparanga junction to St.Luke Te-olam Primary School is also in a very sorry state.

He said others are the road from Goro to Wii-lacic Primary School in Koch Lii Sub County.

Nwoya district LCV chairman, Patrick Okello Oryema however advised the District Education Officer to formally write a letter to the CAO to release some money to fuel the district grader to work on the affected roads.

A total of 1,977 candidates are set to sit this year's examinations in the district.

Candiates across the country begin exams on 1st November with briefing then begin writing their papers on 2nd and on 3rd November.
