Nsibambi turns down Parliament invitation on age limit

Former Prime Minister Prof. Apolo Nsimbabi has turned down an invitation by the parliament legal affairs committee to give his views on the Constitutional Amendment Bill to lift the presidential age limit.

Forum for Democratic Change leader Dr Kiiza Besigye also recently turned down the invitation.

The chairperson of the committee, Jacob Oboth Oboth, confirmed receiving Prof Nsimbabi's letter to that effect, but did not indicate the reason for his shunning of the comittee proceedings.
