Onduparaka beat Express 2-1 on Friday evening at Wankulukuku Stadium to go top of the Uganda Premier League.

Alfred Leku gave Onduparaka the lead early into the second half before Dan Sserunkuma equalized for Express.

 

Substitute Caesar Okhuti grabbed Onduparaka's late winner in the 92nd minute help the West Nile side to move top for the first time since promotion to the topflight a year ago.

The victory took the Arua side to 13 points, two above Vipers and Kirinya Jinja SS who are joint second.

The defeat left Express ninth on the table with seven points. This was also their first loss at home this season after winning two at Wankulukuku.

Elsewhere, bottom sides UPDF and Masavu shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in Bombo. Walter Rubangakene and Godfrey Wakaza scored for UPDF while Noah Ddamba and Abraham Ndugwa each scored for the Entebbe side.

The league will resume with one game on Saturday where Mbarara will host Police at Kakyeka Stadium.
