Soana skipper Kizza handed two match ban

The match played at Kavumba on September 19th was marred by unsporting behaviour

FUFA competitions disciplinary panel has suspended Soana FC captain Ibrahim Kizza for two matches for threatening violence against match officials.

The ban comes after the Uganda Premier League match between Soana and Masavu played at Kavumba on September 19th was marred by unsporting behaviour from the players and coaches of both teams. Soana won the match 1-0.

The panel also handed Masavu assistant coach Joseph Mutyaba a four match touchline ban for unsporting conduct towards the match officials.

Mutyaba is also not allowed to access his team's dressing room while serving the ban.

Mutyaba made allegations of bribery against centre referee Titus Opio and the matter has been forwarded to the FUFA disciplinary committee for further investigation.
