Vilma Achieng dominated her way to a game-high 18 points and 18 rebounds as the title-chasing UCU Lady Canons made it three straight wins in the on-going FIBA Zone V Club Championships at Lugogo, besting Tanzania's Don Bosco 93-36.

The imposing centre had no match as she padded her stat line, adding five assists and two steals for good measure.

Zainah Lokwameri added 17 points for the Canons and Sarah Ageno had a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds for Emmanuel Kiguyi's on-form charges. Rachael Muwanguzi made 10 points as the Canons built on yesterday's scintillating victory over defending champions KPA with their second blowout in three games.

The star of UCU's epic 69-68 win over KPA Rita Imanishimwe had a quiet six points against Don Bosco but the Canons are a deep team with an array of scoring threats.

UCU's victory made it eight combined wins out of nine for Uganda's representatives in the Zone V championships, the only defeat suffered by the KCCA Leopards against Kenya's Equity Bank in the women's draw.

Later today, favourites City Oilers take on Rwanda's Patriots in Group A in their first test on the tournament and so Betway Power who take on Kenya's KPA in Group B.
