Musisi launches KCCA Carnival Sprint

She lauded all the sponsors who committed funds for the event

The proceeds for this year's KCCA carnival Sprint due Saturday will go to rehabilitation of KCCA schools in Kampala.

KCCA executive director Jennifer Musisi disclosed this on Monday during the launch of the two day event at City Hall in Kampala.

"We are excited to have motorsport again as part of this year's KCCA Carnival celebrations but all the proceeds will go to KCCA schools in Kampala so that we can have their lives improved," Kamya stated.

"We are going to build toilets, classrooms, desks for our children to sit on during classes and many other things that improve the lives of Ugandans" she added.

She lauded Shell who committed sh65m for the event, Hima Cement, Movit Jelly, International University of East Africa and Byona Executive for the support.

The chairman of the organising committee Ambrose Byona assured fans that they'll experience the best entertainment as the event continues to grow bigger every year.

Clerk of the course, Joe Burua, said that the event will have two runs and only the top 10 in the first two runs will go for the final third run on the 2.5km track.
