Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) will be among the headliners of a civil awareness art programme slated for this week.

He will join other artistes across Africa at the two-day event dubbed Your Music, Your Voice to discuss their role in using music and fame to raise awareness of social issues.

The event will include a public symposium tomorrow from 9:00am to 4:00pm at Uganda Museum. The concert will take place on Wednesday evening (7:00pm) at Design Hub on 5th Street Industrial area.

This comes at a time when the new elected MP is on parliamentary suspension with 24 other lawmakers after a chaotic parliamentary session over the age limit motion.  Kyagulanyi and his colleagues return to parliament on Thursday.

According to the programme, the Tuesday morning panel will discuss what it means to be a civically engaged musician and share examples from different countries, and the role of social media.

The artists will also record a collabo together and engage in peer-learning workshops behind the scenes.
