There was drama at the burial of former lands minister Omara Atubo's son, when politicians clashed over the age limit Bill and the land debate.

George Okello Ayo, who represented the chairperson of Lira district, opened the can of worms when he warned the legislators in attendance not to touch the two articles in the Constitution they intend to amend.

Alebtong Woman MP Christine Acen, who is alleged to be part of those who support the move  to amend the articles, said before they take sides, they will first consult with the people.

Erute South MP Jonathan Odur warned that any attempts to amend the articles will end in violence.

But lands Minister Betty Amongi said in the Constitution of Uganda, there is provision for amendments.

She said those who will participate in the amendment of the Constitution will come from all parts of Uganda, not only from Lango.
