Judith Babirye brings the house down at UK Convention

The 7th Uganda UK Convention was presided over by the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.

Buikwe Woman Member of Parliament and singer, Judith Babirye, brought the house down last night with a show-stopping performance at the 7th Uganda UK Convention at the Troxy in London, United Kingdom.


It was the first time for Babirye, who first performed in the UK 10 years ago, to perform as an MP.

The convention, which was attended by hundreds of Ugandans, mainly living in the UK, was presided over by the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.

Also in attendance was Vice-President Edward Sekandi, as well as many other high-ranking government officials.

Babirye who came on stage a little after 9:00pm performed about six of her favourite songs, including Favour and Maama.

Babirye, who headlined the after party session that followed the main convention during the day, was followed by Afrigo Band, which performed until the way hours of the night.
