Pirates can leapfrog Maritzburg on Friday

Former Uganda Cranes coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has so far enjoyed a positive start to life in the South African Premiership.

Micho's Orlando Pirates is currently joint top of the table with Maritzburg United on seven points with the latter ahead on goal difference.

Pirates moved level with Maritzburg on Tuesday after beat Ajax Cape Town 1-0 at home.

Bernard Morrison's first half strike in the 9th minute of the game helped the Johannesburg based side register its second victory in the three games they have so far played.

They settled for 1-1 draw with Baroka after beating Chippa United 1-0 in the league opener.

Pirates have the chance to go top of the table when they travel to Maritzburg this Friday.

Earlier last month, Micho was unveiled as the Buccaneers' head coach after terminating his Cranes contract after FUFA failed to clear his outstanding arrears for over four months.

This is his second stint with Pirates, a club he first led in 2006 before being sacked after just 23 games in charge.
