KIU Titans set to dump Lumanyika

KIU’s squad will be bolstered by former UCU Canon’s player, Mwalimu Herry Kijogoo

Having featured for the KIU Titans for not more than two years, Ivan Lumanyika has showed the exit by the Kansanga based team after continuously failing to execute on court.

Describing the player as unserious and unproductive, KIU patron and FUBA vice president, Nasser Serunjoji told New Vision that it's unlikely that the player will be part of the team when the second round of the National Basketball League kicks of this Friday at the YMCA.

"Lumanyika has continued to show signs of unfocused behaviour. He has kept on missing training and for that reason I don't think he will be part of us anymore," said Serunjonji.

KIU's squad will be bolstered by former UCU Canon's player, Mwalimu Herry Kijogoo who joins from Tanzanian side Vijana to replace Lumanyika.

The Titans will open their second round of the regular season against four-time defending champions, City Oilers.
