Olila High School will hope to translate their success in Women's cricket to the boys' cricket team at this year's UCA Boys Schools cricket Week.

The Soroti outfit secured maximum points in the Teso region qualifiers that ended Sunday at Soroti and with three wins and a walk over, the school will represent the region at the week-long showpiece.

Lawrence Olupot was a major standout scoring an unbeaten near half ton of 42 from 30 balls in the 121 runs whitewash of Soroti Municipal School on Sunday in what was their last game off their card. Indeed a perfect end to their campaign.

Goerge Opolot's nonetheless scores of 27 from 29 balls ensured Olila reached 145 in an incredible innings having decided to bat after winning the toss.

Rajab Salim's 5 wicket haul was a classic one as his side restricted jaded Soroti Municipal School to a mere 24 all out by the 12.2 over.

The school will compete with a strong cast of teams from the central, western and Eastern parts of the country. Mukono Parents are the defending champions having won the previous editions on points following a heavy down pour that rendered the final against Jinja SS unplayable.
