Uganda Cranes interim coach Moses Basena is impressed with the performance of his charges ahead of the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday at St Mary's Stadium in Kitende.

"The break seems to have worked to my expectations because in the training session I observed the players in great shape looking re-energised and seemingly enjoying every bit of it. This kind of response and attitude is going to be crucial in the days leading up to the game against Rwanda," stated Basena.

Cranes have been training at Namboole and will now move to Kitende where they will play a friendly match against Tanzanian side Azam FC on Tuesday.

Cranes eliminated South Sudan 5-1 on aggregate to qualify for the next round while Rwanda ejected Tanzania.
