The duo will handle the team up until the return leg against Egypt

Coaches Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba will take charge of the Uganda Cranes on an interim basis.

The duo who were assistants to the coach Milutin Sredojevic who resigned last week, were confirmed in a press conference today at FUFA House in Mengo.

"Moses Basena and Fred Kajjoba will take on the mantle as interim coaches for the National team," stated FUFA president Moses Magogo.

The duo will handle the team up until the return leg against Egypt in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers.

Their first assignment will be against Rwanda in the 2018 Africa Nations Championship qualifiers on August 11 and 18.

This will be followed by double header against Egypt in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers on August 31 and September 5th in Kampala and Cairo respectively.

Sources indicate that FUFA contacted former AFC Leopards coach Luc Eymael to replace Micho who is reportedly set to join South Africa's Orlando Pirates.
