Youth representatives from all over Uganda have asked government to consult them while planning for young people.
During a consultative meeting ahead of the 9th Commonwealth Youth Summit, youth leaders reminded government to fulfil its commitment to improve the livelihood of the youth through government projects.
While addressing the gathering, Charles Ocici, the director of Enterprise Uganda, called on the youth to work on their mindset to appreciate development.
On her part, youth minister Nakiwala Kiyingi, who presided over the meeting, pledged to engage government to invest more in youth projects with a separate budget from that of the ministry of gender.
