FORT PORTAL - Joyce Moriku Kaducu, the state minister for health - primary health care, has ordered all district health officers (DHOs) to immediately start filing weekly reports.

This is in a bid to keep track of the health sector and improve the work of the health ministry.

"Starting today, I will need an update from each DHO on what is happening in each district," said the minister while launching a sh1.1billion grant towards HIV/AIDS projects in Rwenzori region.

The function was held at Boma grounds in Fort Portal.

Kaducu said her ministry, which oversees the activities of the districts, should be updated with weekly data regarding deliveries, deaths, maternal deaths, and any other data and challenges faced.

"My dear DHO's we are in this together. I need you to be in the know of what is happening from all over the country. So cooperate with me and we improve the health services of our people."

Seven DHOs from the seven districts in Rwenzori region were present on the day.
