77-year-old woman's affair with man, 23, condemned

An Anglican priest in Soroti has condemned the affair of a 77-year-old woman from Opege in Ngora district with a man 54 years her junior.

Last week, the clan of Irakak Imorio expelled Malisa Iladot after it emerged that she was having an affair with 23-year-old Kokas Omoding and Michael Ebiot aged 48.

Iladot is a widow and a mother of ten children, the eldest being 47 years. Her eldest child was bewildered by her conduct.

Reverend Julius Apedu, who doubles as the principle of VTI Soroti, described the conduct of Iladot as a curse.

He said the church is doing its best in preaching the word of God but some people have turned away from God to worship evil.
