Stephen Wokorach inspired UPDF to a 55-53  win over Our Saviour in the FUBA National basketball league game at YMCA Wandegeya on Friday.

With 10 seconds of the game remaining, Wokorach managed two baskets for UPDF snatch the win from Our Saviour in a tightly contested game.

Wokorach scored a game high 17 points, teammates Henry Okoth (11), while Dulton Mutawe and Moses Muhumuza had 9 points each.

Peter Elungat and Joseph Wacha managed 11 and 9 points respectively while team Richard Balemwa and Steven Mwesigye has 8 points each for Our Saviour.

Meanwhile, in the second game of the day Ndejje Angels defeated Star Times Falcons 61-44 in a game in a game which Ndejje Coach Walker Obedi made a five man change at ago.

"It is not that I undermined Falcons but I wanted to test all my players yet there was little time left so I had to make that rare substitution," Obedi stated.

"It is our first win but we still have a lot to work on the defence and offence including picking rebounds but am optimistic we shall make it to the play-offs," Obedi explained.
