1. The Government of the Republic of Uganda secured a loan from International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) through the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) under the Vegetable Oil Development Project Phase two (VODP 2). It intends to use part of the proceeds of this loan for the acquisition of the Supplies & Services below;

2. The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) under the Vegetable Oil Development Project Phase two (VODP 2) therefore invites sealed bids from eligible bidders, for the provision of:

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Open Domestic/ International Bidding procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 of the Government of Uganda and IFAD. This invitation is open to all eligible bidders.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below in No. 8(a) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on working days.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application and obtaining a payment advice slip from the Ministry's cash office located on plot 16-18 Lugard Avenue Entebbe and upon payment of a non-refundable fee (as specified above) in cash to a Local Bank. The document should be collected by the prospective bidder or his representative. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.
