Sport-S ended Sky volleyball club's hopes of retaining the trophy by beating them 3-0

The annual Dr. George Edward Aporu Okol International volleyball tournament came to an end with Sport-S volleyball club (in men's category), and Vision Volleyball (VVC) club (in female category) emerging champions.

Sport-S ended Sky volleyball club's hopes of retaining the trophy by beating them 3-0, while VVC trounced Sport-S 3-1 at Kumi Bomas Ground on Sunday.

However, Luyanzi SS in the boys' category retained its trophy after defeating Bogo Mixed School 2-1. George Aporu Okol Jr. took the lead in organizing this year's tournament.

A total of 54 local teams including two from the Kenyan Parliament, and one team from the Ugandan Parliament attended the event.

In the secondary schools category (girls); Trust High Katikamu became the champs, after they edged out Katikamu SDA in the finals.

In the corporate category, Centenary Bank Kumi took the trophy after beating the Kenya parliament.

Wiggins SS and Dr. Aporu Akol Memorial School received awards which included medals and certificates for being disciplined and attending for the first time.
