AMURIA - The councilors of Wera sub-county in Amuria district have accused the office of the chief administrative officer for allegedly failing to implement council resolutions.

Simon Peter Gandimba, the councilor representing Sugur parish, says that the council resolved for the transfer of the sub-county chief but the office of the CAO has not responded positively.

He explains that the sub-county chief is not cooperative and works alone, a thing he says has caused a gap in service delivery.

He adds that the road connecting Wera sub-county to Soroti district has not been worked but the CAO looks not to be concerned yet it was catered for in the budget.

Gandimba says that failure to implement the council resolutions has greatly affected their operations as a sub-county.

In his response, Andrew Leru, the CAO for Amuria district, says that his office is working on those resolutions but the problem is limited funds.

He adds that they are repairing the grader which will open the said road.
