The Ministry of Water & Environment-Water for Production Regional Centre - East has obtained funds for the procurement of Consultancy Services for Feasibility Studies and Detailed Engineering Design of four (04) Valley Tanks in Eastern and Karamoja Regions

The main objective of the consultancy is to carry out feasibility studies and detailed engineering design of the valley tanks in four (04) towns.

The successful Consultant will:

1. Establish the existing and potential water demands for production purposes including but not limited to domestic, agricultural, commercial and environmental ecology.
2. Make a thorough assessment of water resources potential in the selected areas.
3. Examine and evaluate the potential water sources identified and any other possible alternatives.
4. Identify the most appropriate technology option for developing existing water resources in order to meet water demand.
5. Undertake detailed design of most appropriate valley tanks for the four districts and produce detailed bills of quantity, design reports and drawings.
