Sadolin Paints now joins JMC Hippos on the relegation scrap heap

Azam Uganda Premier League

Sadolin Paints have been relegated from the Azam Uganda Premier League after losing 1-0 to Express at Namboole Stadium this evening.

Mahad Kakooza was on target for Express as they bounced back to their winning ways.

The defeat left Sadolin second from bottom with 26 points, three behind Lweza who could only settled for a goalless draw with Kirinya Jinja SS at Wankulukuku Stadium.

Sadolin Paints now joins JMC Hippos who were relegated weeks ago.

At Kakindu Stadium, the game between JMC Hippos and Police was aborted in the 65th minute after centre referee Ali Kaddu awarded Police a penalty and JMC Hippos players protested the decision and ultimately refused to proceed with the match.

But by the time the game was aborted, JMC was 1-0 up through Charles Ssemanda’s first half strike.

League organizers will deliver the final verdict on the game during the course of the week. Either Lweza or Police will join JMC and Sadolin Paints among the teams to be relegated.

At Masaka Recreation Ground, Umar Kasumba scored the only goal of the game as SC Villa defeated Vipers 1-0 while Labama Bokota was on target as URA beat Bright Stars 1-0 at Metha Stadium.

Shaban Mohammad, Rashid Toha and Living Kabon each scored for the hosts while Gerald Bagoole and Joseph Othieno were on target for Saints.

At Kavumba, Francis Ronald Olaki was the hero as Soana beat BUL 1-0.
