Government has created a hotline to be manned by UPDF soldiers to handle corruption complaints from investors.
Launching the hotline at Uganda Investment Authority head offices Nakasero, state minister for investment and privatization, Evelyne Anite, said this was an immediate directive from president Yoweri Museveni, after receiving a number of reports from investors.
"The hotline will serve for the investors to report any frustration, harassment, corruption because we believe that services given to them are supposed to be for free," said Anite.
According to the minister, the President also ordered the attorney general to push for a law which will bar corruption suspects from acquiring bail.
