The establishment of the animal bio-safety laboratory should be expediated to analyse animal samples and carry out study experiments.

This is according to Prof. John David Kabasa, the Principal of Makerere University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Prof. Kabasa says the laboratory will also become a centre of excellence in the region for other countries to bring in their samples at a cost.
