Despite a 16-5 defeat by Kabras Rugby Club on Wednesday, the national rugby team coach Robert Sseguya was impressed with the performance of his players.

Sseguya told NewVision in an interview that the structure of play and commitment of players was what impressed him the most.

"If you look at the team that played, it was made up of many new players and I didn't have the so called first team players because that was a selection game," Sseguya stated.

In Saturday's game against Kabras, Sseguya said he will field 90 percent of his first players who include; Michael Wokorach, Asuman Mugerwa, James Odongo Philip Wokorach, Pius Ogena, Solomon Okias, Elijah Ssegawa and Ronald Musajja.

The Rugby Cranes will be playing Kenya in the first leg of the Elgon Cup on June 10, before the return leg on June 24 in Nairobi.
