The Uganda Volleyball Federation's plans to re-launch their National League with six fixtures involving the top clubs in a bid to attract attention at the MTN Arena in Lugogo on May 6.
UVF plans to stage the competition as a way to rebrand its battered image following last year's activities where the Serie A (Men's) top league was suspended amidst protest by the participating clubs.
According to UVF first vice president Isma Bagaga, they plan to stage games involving KAVC, KCCA, Sport-S, Sky VC, Nemostars and select sides playing a media team as part of rebranding the league.
By press time Thursday, the UVF executive led by the president Hadija Namanda was finalizing the nitty-gritties of the league launch including communication from a sponsor they are due to reveal.
The could not say whether they are negotiating with a new sponsor or NSSF which has sponsored the league until last year is continuing to fund the league.
