First UK-East Africa health London summit for April 22

The summit scheduled for April 22, 2017 will be held at Tavistok Square under theme: "Supporting health and wealth development in Uganda."

The health minister, Jane Ruth Aceng, will attend the first UK-East Africa health summit in London United Kingdom.

The summit scheduled for April 22, 2017 will be held at Tavistok Square under theme: "Supporting health and wealth development in Uganda."

The summit coordinator, Moses Murimira, said over 200 delegates including businessmen, academia and civil society will discuss ways of improving Uganda's health care system. He was flanked by Patrick Assimwe, the chairperson NRM UK chapter.

Murimira was optimistic that exchange of ideas and experiences will yield positive recommendations to improving Uganda‘s heath sector.

Moses Kimuli, a health expert said a number of issues geared towards bettering health services and access in Uganda will be tackled.

Key speakers include: Uganda's outgoing High Commissioner to UK Prof. Joyce Kikafunda, Dr Nick Kotecha and Lord Dollar Popat UK's trade envoy to Uganda and Rwanda among others.
