The GMW is an activity is supported by other financial institutions and financial departments of organisations, banks, insurance companies, the media, civil society organisations, NGOs, United Nations Agencies, diplomatic organisations, embassies/high commissions, development partners, donor agencies/ foundations.

Hence, we call on the President of Republic of Uganda to take this issue very seriously as this campaign will serve as a medium we can all curb corruption and overcome recession in Uganda .

We implore parents, teachers and the society in general to encourage children/youth to learn basic financial principles, to manage, spend when necessary and save money, which will facilitate a culture of earning and a co-ordinated livelihood/proper financial discipline.

This will guide our future/ present leaders on proper budgeting, resource management and to have enough in reserve for generations born and yet unborn. This is the only way we can have economic citizenship, good governance that will be devoid of:

Corruption, xenophobia, violence, crime, hunger, poverty, arms robbery, thieves, vandals, financial illiteracy etc. The Week, which promote financial inclusion of children and youth, will be the only way to achieve this goal.

We Call on government, businesses and the private sector to create a desk officer on GMW in all their establishments/ offices so as to facilitate a process of attaining economic citizenship, financial freedom and good governance in Uganda and Africa at large.

Global Money Week 2017 has the theme and goals of learning, saving and earning to be achieved. Hence, all policy makers need to be involved in the on-going projects and activities.

We use this medium to invite the Government, organisations and stakeholders in the financial sector and the business community, the media and government at all levels to participate, partner, collaborate and sponsor projects/activities that will rescue Uganda from the present economic recession and future crisis that might want to occur.

We specifically call on all and sundry to lend necessary support to ensure our GMW 2017 National /Regional Activities with the theme: "Learn, Save, Earn."

Happy Global Money Week 2017
