Many have flocked clinipharm for its two day wellness campaign to promote a holistic life style in order to prevent and control what they have called "western diseases" like diabetes, high blood pressure and also to launch the first ever clinical pharmacy in Uganda.

"People need to realize that their way your life and the way you treat your body tremendously contributes to your overall health, so we set this up to spread the word about lifestyle change and show people that even changing the smallest things in your lifestyle can save you major health complications" said Baker Kiwanuka a clinical pharmacist and also the managing director of clinipharm Uganda.

The campaign started Thursday and they were offering free medical services like breast cancer screening, free hepatitis B screening, free weight management consultation, nutrition and diet training and 10% off on all in store products.

Among those that turned up was Jessica Namatovu 32,a teacher, said this was a good initiative because some of these services are expensive so we end up putting them off even when we know we need them.

"At the hospital testing for hepatitis B is like UGX 30,000 and breast cancer screening could go for UGX 50,000 so making these services free will make people test more" said Namatovu

The campaign also aimed at getting people to work towards complete wellness of their body and mind will be concluded today at the cube mall, Kisementi copper road. The campaign starts at 9am till late in the evening.
