“We have heard news that we have cancelled flights, those are lies. And we are calling upon all people who have flights to go ahead with their plans. We are investigating the source of the news,” said

Civil Aviation Authority has dismissed reports on social media that flights at Entebbe International Airport have been cancelled following the murder of the deputy Police chief, Andrew Felix Kaweesi.

"We have heard news that we have cancelled flights, those are lies. And we are calling upon all people who have flights to go ahead with their plans. We are investigating the source of the news," said Vianney Luggya, the spokesperson of CAA.

Luggya said that there is no cause for alarm.

"Our security is tight and we have no reason to worry," he said.
