Kagina to women: make your presence known

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) executive director, Allen Kagina, has called upon women to be relevant to their communities and their country at large.

"I want to encourage a trend to make your presence known, to celebrate, to laugh and to be women. Be the treasure God has made you to be," Kagina said.

She was speaking to UNRA women staff in Kampala as Uganda joins the rest of the world to celebrate international Women's Day.

Uganda's celebrations are taking place at Dokolo Technical School in Dokolo district. This year's theme is Women empowerment in the changing world of work.
