She is accused of absenteeism, causing financial loss to the district and embezzlement among others

A petition to remove Dorothy Ajwang Magoola the Gulu Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) has been sent to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government.

John Okwonga the Gulu District local government officer told Radio Rupiny that the petitions were sent to the Permanent Secretary on Monday.

He said the petition was delivered with evidence to back up their accusations.

Gulu district local government councillors recently recommended that Magoola be sacked.

The councillors through their chief petitioner, Francesca Among the councillor for Pece Division while in the council hall, accused Magoola of absenteeism, causing financial loss to the district and embezzlement among others.

When contacted over the matter Magoola said Gulu councillors do not have the mandate to remove her from her office since she is a staff of central government.
