The Thunderbirds extended their lead at the top of the log to 25 points after they defeated the Entebbe ladies team in the Women Rugby League on Saturday.

The kyandondo based team has led the league by posting very professional performances hence their surge to the top of the table standings.

Dorothy Nekesa team manager Thunderbirds believes her team's dominance in the encounter catapulted them to victory against Entebbe Ladies team.

"Thunderbirds have always dominated this tie. Although Entebbe has a lot of talented players we managed to overcome the resistence," Nekesa said.

Thunderbirds are benefiting from their teams bags of experience at the moment.

"Kyadondo has a lot of experienced girls who come through the system. These girls go on to mentor the younger girls which in the end for us creates a winning team," she added.

In the U-19 league, the Baby Panthers conceded a walkover against the Mbale Eagles when they failed to honour their fixtures. The Mbale Eagles earned themselves a 28-0 victory against the no show legends based team.
