URA FC parted ways with Kisala Monday

URA FC have sacked their coach Kefa Kisala.

URA FC parted ways with Kisala Monday with two-years still left on his three year contract.

"URA FC have sacked over 10 coaches in the last four years so I had packed my bags halfway because I knew anytime I would be leaving. Besides I was given an unrealistic target of 90 points in the league at the end of the season. I couldn't achieve it," Kisala said after URA announced his dismissal.

URA FC new chairman James Kiiza who was elected in office over the weekend, believes welding the axe against Kisala was a necessary decision for the club.

"This has been the most difficult decision we have had to make to keep the interests of the club going forward. Kisala has brought discipline and a sense of team work which the board appreciates," Kiiza said.

URA FC is expected to announce Ibrahim Kirya as a replacement for Kisala after their league match against Lweza FC at Wankulukuku on Tuesday.

Assistant Coach James Odoch will take charge of the game against Lweza.

URA FC lost their last match 1-0 at home to Proline FC.

They are seventh in the league with four wins, 12 draws and two losses.
