CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RETURN LEG

Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto v KCCA FC

(KCCA won the first leg 1-0)

KCCA FC striker Geoffrey Sserunkuuma  feels having training sessions at Namboole Stadium will help them see off Angolan side Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto in the return leg of the CAF Champions League.

The Uganda premier league holders will carry a one-goal advantage to Angola when the two sides meet this Sunday.

They play on artificial surface at home at Lugogo but on their trip, Coach Mike Mutebi's side will play on grass.

To get used to such a ground, KCCA are training at Namboole Stadium and Sserunkuuma, who scored the only goal in the first leg, is confident it will help his side.

"The ground is soft and actually playable compared to the condition it has been in in the recent past, which helps us because we are going to play on a similar surface, if not better," he said.

"The training sessions we shall have here are going to be very useful."

KCCA is expected to leave for Angola Friday morning.

And progression means they will face defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the final round in March before heading to the  group stages.
