Flavia Namakula continued to make progress in her budding professional golfing career when she made the cut in her second tournament; the South African Women's Masters in Cape Town on Saturday.

Namakula made her professional debut two weeks ago during the SuperSport Ladies Challenge at Huddle Park Golf, where she pocketed close to sh1m.

Her 33rd place finish out of 38 ladies who made the cut over the weekend earned her a similar amount and she will now be hoping to better her earnings as she continues to build her professional career.

Next for her is a series of tournaments over the next one month, that include the Ladies Tshwane Open at Zwartkop Country Club, January 31-February 2, ahead of the Cape Town Ladies Open, February 7-9, with a prize fund of sh52m, where she is also entered.

She will then compete in the SLT Dimension Data Challenge at George Golf Club, February 17-19, the Sunshine Ladies Tour Classic at Glendower Golf Club, February 21-23, the Sun International Ladies Challenge at Lost City Golf Course and as well as in the Johannesburg Ladies Open and the  Royal Johannesburg & Kensington, March 5-7.

South Korea's 19-year old Carrie Park won the South African Women's Masters pocketing a cool sh20m and now Namakula will be aiming to make some good earnings from the series of tournaments that have close to over sh300m in prize money.
