Geofrey Oryema performs like a legend

The Bayimba Honors function that was held at Lohana Academy yesterday attracted many fans of Ugandan musical legend, Geofrey Oryema.  The Bayimba Honours where meant to recognize private individuals, artists, families, institutions and companies with an outstanding record of philanthropy aimed at the development of the arts and culture in Uganda. Yet it was only three individuals that were honored; Ras Kasozi, Sana Gateja and Goretti Kyomuhendo.

After the award ceremony is when Geofrey Oryema got on stage and took his fans through a number of songs. Land of Anaka, however stood out among the songs he performed as many seemed to know it. The show that ended at midnight was the first concert Geofrey Oryema has ever performed at in Uganda, ever since living the country 40 years ago
