The Buz Pirates has vowed to crush any team that stands for the league trophy this season.

Pirates over the weekend humiliated favourites  Shell Rimula Rhinos 28-9 in the national rugby league at Legends Rugby Club on Saturday.

"We must continue winning our games. I'm so sorry for getting a yellow card and this must be the last," Stated team captain Marvin Odongo stated.

As always, the Pirates didn't give Rhinosbreathing space as Conrad Wanyama maintained his kicking form scoring all the opportunities.

Wanyama gave Pirates a 3-0 lead through a penalty but Kevin Makmot replied in the same way for Rhinos to level 3-3.

Wanyama added another penalty and Makmot did the same to keep the score 6-6 in a tight game before Pirates' Timothy Kasiga stole the ball to score a try and Wanyama added conversion to stretch lead 13-6.

Ivan Wavamunno broke through Rhinos defence at the centre line to score a try and then Wanyama added a conversion to take send the game to 20-6 half time break.

In the second half, Wanyama added a penalty to stretch the lead to 23-6 but Rhinos also added a penalty to take 23-9, before Haruna Muwonge nailed that last nail by scoring final try to give Pirates 28-9 win.

The win keeps Pirates on top of the League with 24 points.
