Nkata wins coach of the month award

Tusker coach Paul Nkata has been named the Fidelity Insurance coach of the month.

Nkata's recognition comes  after he guided Tusker to the Kenya Premier League title.

The former URA FC coach received a Ksh50,000 cheque and a trophy at the Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi.

The Fidelity Insurance award was introduced this season and a group of Kenya Sports journalists sit down to decide the winner in each particular month.

Nkata become the third foreign coach to win the award after Gor Mahia's José Marcelo Ferreira commonly known as Ze Maria and former AFC Leopards coach Ivan Minnaert in October and March respectively.

The former Kira Young coach didn't also stop at winning the league but he also he guided the Kenya giants to a double after they defeated Ulinzi Stars 1-0 to a month ago to win the GOtv Shield title.
