UAE Exchange, the leading global remittance, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand, yet again emerged as one of the strongest brands at the recent FiRe Awards held at Serena Hotel in Uganda.

It was officially honoured with the prestigious FiRe Award for the third consecutive year under the Forex Bureau category by The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).

The brand was also presented with the FiRe Award for ‘Reporting under the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises)' and a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding achievement in Improved Quality of Financial Reporting.

Commenting on the win, Unni Krishnan, Regional Head-Africa of UAE Exchange, said: "It is an immense moment of pride for us to be presented with three coveted FiRe Awards. We thank the jury members for recognising our efforts in sustaining and improving our processes to promote best practices in financial reporting.

The awards are also an encouragement for us to continue with our quest to achieve the best, be it in offering innovative and customised services, adopting latest technology or being one step closer to our customers."

The Financial Reporting Awards (FiRe Awards) was established in 2011 by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda in partnership with the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE).

The overall aim through the FiRe Awards is to enhance the quality of financial and business reporting in Uganda in compliance with the international financial reporting standards as prescribed by ICPAU.

UAE Exchange, known for their customer centricity and business excellence, commenced its operations in Uganda in 2006. In a very short span of time, the brand has earned the trust and patronage of its customers.

It offers a plethora of customised financial solutions including money transfer and foreign currency exchange services through its four branches in the country.
