Mi Casa's Up-close thrills Kampala fans

Ugandan partying society is yet to get enough of South African band, MI Casa.

Last Thursday, the multi award-winning band was in town to quietly deliver a thrilling up-close do at the Jameson Connects pre-party that went down at the Bukoto-based Cayenne Restaurant and Lounge, Kampala.

The event, ideally was to connect fans of the Classic Irish whiskey, Jameson. Composed of J'Something (vocalist), Dr. Duda (club DJ, producer and pianist), and Mo-T (trumpeter), Mi Casa was the headline act at the event prior the bigger do in Kenya this December.

The band were to perform late into the night but their anticipating fans started flocking the venue by 7pm.

Revellers were kept entertained, grooving on mixtures of international and local clubs bangers by DJs Simple and BK on the turntables and a few interaction interludes by the night's MC, Deedan.

The band stormed the stage close to 11pm, all dressed in black with their instruments. Their show up on stage served to quench the anticipation as well as arousing the excitement among the patrons. They were ushered in  by loud screams from the audience. As J'Something crooned, patrons pulled out their smart phones to capture the moment.

 

Mi Casa performed some of their popular hits , including Jika, My Body, Don't Wanna Be Your Friend, La Vida, and These Streets as folks sung along. It was an up-close with the stars, J'Something taking selfies with fans every so often. Wrapping up a full hour of an electrifying performance, the audience still wanted more, and so Mi Casa did one more
