The 2016/2017 national rugby league that kick-offs on Saturday is expected to be a competitive league and it has become harder to predict the title favourite as all clubs proved their worth in the just concluded Uganda Cup.

Rimula Rhinos and Hima Cement Heathens entered the transfer window to sign players to strengthen their different departments while Buffaloes lured back their star players from Kenya side Kabras.

James Odongo, Charles Uhuru and Gerald Ssewankambo are all back at their former club.

However mongers coach player Kigongo Ssebalamu has vowed to avenge the defeat they suffered against Bufalloes in the Uganda cup when the two meet this Saturday.
